Odisha CM Gets Ready To Celebrate First Anniversary Of BJP Rule

All eyes are on Odisha chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s planned celebration of the first anniversary on June 12.  It may be a big affair dashed with cultural extravaganza, exclusive dinners with CM for business leaders, MPs, MLA and media. Specially branded vans will visit all the 314 blocks of Odisha to amplify BJP government’s achievements, reforms, various schemes and various public service initiatives. The centre piece of the celebration will be the PM Modi attending the same. The day will also see the unveiling of the Odisha Vision document which has been prepared after taking suggestions/inputs from over 320,000 Odites across the state. As per CM Majhi the aspiration is to make Odisha $ 500 bn economy by 2036 and $1.5 tn by 2047. While the CM seems gung ho, his critics say Majhi is skating on thin ice as in terms of performance he has not achieved much. He has lots of ground to cover. But in all fairness one year is a small period to judge the capability, ability of any CM.
