This ‘Rowdy Baby’ Turns Caring At Sister Pooja Kannan’s Wedding

Sai Pallavi, the actor who has a big fan following for her films, is a doctor by profession. She is also known as one of the best dancers, her hit number with Dhanush “Rowdy Baby” still remembered for its sizzle and sass. For the engagement ceremony of sister Pooja Kannan to Vineet held in January, Sai and Pooja danced to the hit Marathi song “Apsara Ali”, a riot of energy and fun.  But Sai Pallavi turned serious at Pooja Kannan’s wedding, held in true Badaga style in the cool environs of Ooty. The Badagas have unique traditions and culture and weddings too are celebrated in true Badaga style. The bride’s party reaches the grooms place early in the morning for the ceremony, which starts with the “Thali” (mangalsutra) tying at the Hethai Amman temple, then wend their way to the groom’s place for the sumptuous feast, Madhuve Hittu. Sai officiated as the sister bridesmaid at every turn, looking ethereal in a monochrome outfit that matched her sister’s. Sai is soon to be seen as Sita in epic Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor as Ram …the divine chemistry to unfold the oft told epic story …Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Yash and Vijay Sethupathi are to provide plot movers. Sai also has Amaran with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead.
